If you or someone you know has difficulty with everyday activities, occupational therapy may be prescribed by a family practitioner to help a person get back on track and do the things that they want to do.

Occupational therapists evaluate and treat patients with:

Pediatric Occupational Therapy
Pediatric occupational therapists evaluate and treat patients with:
- Self-care skills, including feeding, dressing and grooming
- Hand strengthening and coordination skills required for activities, such as cutting with scissors, coloring, writing, buttoning, using feeding utensils, etc.
- Sensory motor processing and integration
- Upper extremity (shoulder, arm and hand) splinting
- Recommendation, training and use of adaptive equipment
- Neurodevelopmental treatment
- Visual motor and handwriting skills
