Our Community Impact
As a nonprofit health system, Logan Health has a responsibility that extends beyond providing high-quality health care. Our nonprofit status reflects our commitment to improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve and to reinvesting in those communities. Because we are entrusted with serving the public good, we have an obligation to give back, particularly by addressing identified community health needs and supporting individuals and communities who face barriers to care.
Through our community impact efforts, Logan Health takes a thoughtful, measurable approach to investing resources where they can make the greatest difference, with particular focus on vulnerable, uninsured, and underserved populations. Many of these efforts provide little or no direct reimbursement to our hospitals, but we sustain them because they strengthen our communities, improve health and well-being, and reflect our mission as a nonprofit health system. Our commitment to community benefit is not simply something we do; it is an essential part of who we are and our responsibility to the communities we are privileged to serve.
