Melanie Wood-Smith, OTR/L, CLT, is an occupational therapist specializing in care for adults with neurological injuries, patients with lymphedema and individuals living with dementia. She is a certified lymphedema therapist and certified dementia practitioner, which lends to her passion for helping patients maintain independence and improve their quality of life through individualized occupational therapy. Born and raised in the Chicago area, Melanie chose Montana for her first clinical placement during occupational therapy school. She and her husband fell in love with the area and moved to the Flathead Valley after she graduated.

Outside of work, Melanie enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, son and daughter. She also enjoys crafting, art, designing, building, stilt walking, exploring and learning.
