Speech Therapy

Logan Health offers both adult and pediatric speech-language pathology or speech therapy. Speech problems often occur because a person has difficulty producing sounds due to the incorrect movement of the muscles in the lips, tongue, and mouth. Our skilled speech-language pathologists develop individualized treatment plans for our patients, guiding them through communication techniques, and strategies for coping with speech/language barriers.

Therapy Programs and Tools

Speech and Swallowing
Speech therapists use VitalStim, noninvasive external electrical stimulation, to help individuals with swallowing disorders, or dysphagia. Along with feeding practice and other exercises, VitalStim can lead to improved swallowing after just a few days of intensive treatment.

LSVT LOUD is an intensive speech therapy program to help individuals with Parkinson’s and other neurological conditions. Using exercises that strengthen the muscles of the voice box, our speech therapists help individuals make improvements in speaking loudly and clearly.
