Frequently Asked Questions
What is virtual care?
Virtual care (also called telehealth or telemedicine) means accessing healthcare services remotely using video technology instead of visiting your doctor’s office in person.
Logan Health primary care, behavioral health, and specialty providers now offer video visits. Virtual care can be a tool for patients with mobility challenges and transportation barriers, enabling them to access care more easily from home.
Though many types of visits are appropriate, not all are. Your provider can help determine this.
But what if I am not techy?
Don’t worry. We’ll help you through it by doing a test call before your visit. You might be surprised to learn that most of our patients who use virtual care are over 55!
What happens if I get disconnected during my visit?
If there is a technical issue during your visit, your provider will call you on the phone and finish the visit.
How do I prepare for my visit?
Treat this visit just like you would if you were to come see a provider in person -but skip the drive! Click here to learn 10 ways to prepare for a successful visit.
How will I know when to join?
If you are joining from home, you’ll receive a one-time secure link through text or email. No app or log-in is required.
Can I use my health insurance?
Virtual appointments follow the same process as if you were in clinic. We will bill your insurance for the visit (or self-pay if not).
