Neurology Diagnostics

Electromyography and nerve conduction studies (EMG): Electromyography is a technique for evaluating and recording the electrical activity produced by skeletal muscles. We perform diagnostic testing for neuropathies, entrapment neuropathies, radiculopathies, carpal tunnel and motor neuron disease.

Electroencephalography (EEG): An electroencephalogram is a diagnostic test that records electrical activity in the brain. It is used to evaluate seizure disorders and other spell-like phenomenon.

Our Treatments

Botulinum toxin injections: We perform Botox injections for a variety of neurological conditions including stroke, cervical dystonia, muscle spasms and spasticity, as well as intractable migraine headaches.

Stroke care: A stroke, also called a brain attack or cerebrovascular accident, is a time sensitive neurological emergency.  A stroke occurs when blood flow to the brain is interrupted due to blockage of a blood vessel or a ruptured blood vessel. Symptoms of a stroke can include trouble walking, speaking, and understanding, as well as paralysis, weakness, or numbness of the face, arm, or leg. Early treatment is important to decrease long term disability. Call 911 if you are concerned you or someone you know may be having a stroke.

Logan Health Medical Center is a certified Primary Stroke Center designated by the Joint Commission since 2018. The Logan Health Stroke Program and our Neurology team is a leader in stroke care in Montana, providing Telestroke coverage to 10 critical access hospitals facilitating neurological consultation for acute stroke treatment.
