Wendy Monen, LCSW, is a board certified licensed clinical therapist at The Newman Center–Adult Services Department. She joined Logan Health in February 2002, and she provides outpatient mental health therapy, counseling, and psychotherapy. Wendy attended Louisiana State University and the University of Montana, earning her bachelor degree in psychology as well as a bachelor degree in social work. She received her master of social work from the University of Denver. With 21 years of experience in helping clients with depression, trauma, and anxiety, her skills including helping patients cope with their feelings and thinking patterns and gain insight into their emotional issues — all with the goal of improving not only their ability to cope, but also regain a sense of control and thus leading to a happier life. Wendy’s professional interests include cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and interpersonal therapy approach. When she is not at work, she enjoys gardening and spending time with her family and animals.
