WHITEFISH, MT – Logan Health – Whitefish (LHW) received a Stroke Hero Award at the Rocky Mountain Stroke Conference in Great Falls on May 15, 2026. The hospital was nominated for the outstanding work related to Stroke Recognition and telestroke. LHW nurse Valida Holder was on hand to accept the award.
The Stroke Hero Award recognizes individuals and healthcare facilities who have a significant impact on stroke care in their communities. Logan Health – Whitefish is a Stroke Recognized hospital, and their outcomes data is consistently in the top tier of all Recognized hospitals in Montana. LHW also utilizes telestroke services to bring stroke specialists to the patient via technology which greatly speeds up the critical time-dependent care acute stroke patients need.
