Our indoor climbing wall is suited for climbers of all ages and abilities. The wall features more than 1,200 sq. ft. of climbing surface with dozens of routes including top rope, lead climbing, and bouldering. Routes are regularly updated so each visit offers new challenges. Whether you are new to climbing, training for fitness, or climbing with friends and family, the wall provides a fun and engaging experience.
We offer beginner classes, private lessons, and group instruction led by trained staff to help climbers learn safely and build confidence on the wall.
Climbing Wall Details
Climbers who have passed a belay test and received a Belay Card may utilize top ropes anytime the fitness center is open, provided that no scheduled climbing program is in session.
Please wash or sanitize your hands before and after climbing to help maintain a clean and safe environment.
Personal climbing gear is required for independent climbing. Harnesses and belay devices and carabiners are available only during staffed programs such as classes and Hang Time. Climbing shoes are always available to use at the wall.
Climbers 13 and under must be directly supervised by an adult age 18 or older.

Climbing Time Descriptions
OPEN CLIMB
This is a time when climbers who have passed the belay test and display their Belay Card may climb independently while the fitness center is open. Climbers must bring their own harness and belay device. Lead climbers must bring their own ropes. Bouldering is climbing without ropes below the red bouldering line. Bouldering is allowed whenever the wall is open and no program is in session. Use of a spotter is encouraged.
HANG TIME
This is a drop in climbing session where anyone can try the wall even with no experience required. An instructor will be present to belay climbers. Harnesses and climbing shoes are available in limited quantities. See the climbing wall schedule for days and times.
Classes
Intro to Climbing Class
This class is ideal for beginners or anyone who wants to learn the fundamentals of climbing and belaying. The class covers climbing knots, top rope belaying, basic climbing skills, and safety procedures used on the wall.
Upon successfully completing the class, participants will receive a top rope belay card.
Who: Ages 14 and older

Learn to Lead Climb and Belay Class
This class is designed for climbers who are ready to progress beyond top rope climbing and learn the fundamentals of lead climbing and lead belaying. Instruction includes proper clipping techniques, rope management, lead belaying methods, and safety procedures used for lead climbing. Participants will practice both lead climbing and lead belaying under instructor supervision.
Prerequisites:
Must be at least 16 years old
Must have current Top Rope Belay Card
Must be able to climb at the 5.9 grade or higher
Must have a minimum of 3 months of regular top rope climbing experience
Class Length: Approximately 2.5 hours
Cost: $45 Members / $60 Non Members
Class Size: 2 Participants required. 2 Max.

Private Climbing Lessons
Private lessons provide one on one coaching for climbers of any experience level. These sessions focus on technique, skill development, and personal climbing goals.

Belay Tests
Top Rope Belay Tests
Climbers ages 14 and older with top rope belay experience may take the belay test to receive a Top Rope Belay Card.
Belay cards must be displayed on the harness while climbing or belaying.
Lead Belay / Climb Tests
Climbers ages 16 and older with prior lead climbing experience may take the Lead Climb and Belay Test. Lead Climb and Belay Tests require two people that are either testing or one that is testing and one that is already lead certified.
Lead climbers must provide their own rope for testing and lead climbing at the wall.
Belay cards must be displayed on the harness while climbing or belaying.

Climbing Time Descriptions

CERTIFIED CLIMB: This is a time when only those that are very experienced and have been cleared by a climbing instructor and placed on the certified climbing list. If one is not on the certified climbing list, they cannot climb during this time.
HANG TIME: This is a time for you to come in and experience the wall even if you are not belay certified. There will be an instructor present to belay you and we have a limited number of harnesses available as well. There will also be limited availability for Belay Testing during this time.
BOULDERING: This is climbing low to the ground without the use of ropes. A person or child (minimum age is 6) should be spotted by another person. No part of the body may pass above the third panel from the ground. Bouldering should not be done underneath roped climbers.
Belay Test
Members: free / Non-members: $15
Anyone that uses the climbing wall must pass the belay safety proficiency test or be in a special group such as a birthday party, enrolled in the S.P.A.R.K. program, etc. Must be at least 6 years old to take belay test and use the climbing wall. By appointment: 751-4137
Age Guidelines
Participants must be 6 and older to use the wall. Participants 12 and under must be directly supervised by an adult 18 and older.
Climbing Gear
Climbing harness and shoes are available at the climbing wall for use at no charge during Hang Time and Climbing classes.
Climbing Wall Waiver
Every person that uses the climbing wall must have a climbing wall waiver/release form completely filled out and on file with our climbing wall department. Forms are available at the climbing wall, front desk and online.
