Whitefish Therapy & Sport Center owner Scott Ruta announced today that the clinic will be joining Logan Health. On February 27, 2024, the Logan Health – Whitefish (LHW) Board of Directors voted to approve the addition of Whitefish Therapy & Sport Center. The clinic and its building will become part of the Logan Health family on June 1, 2024, under the name Logan Health Rehabilitation Whitefish.

“For nearly 20 years Whitefish Therapy & Sport has proudly partnered with Logan Health – Whitefish in contracting our therapists for inpatient services,” said Scott Ruta, owner, and physical therapist. “Joining the Logan Health family will afford the opportunity to continue providing inpatient therapy services as well as serving our outpatients and offering another outpatient location for Logan Health patients in Whitefish.”

As a Logan Health clinic, Whitefish Therapy & Sport Center will join a larger network of health providers. This will allow better access to referring specialists allowing therapists to discuss patient care plans. The clinic will also share the Logan Health electronic medical records system.

“Operationally, our organizations have aligned in many employee practices, and patient care initiatives,” said Kevin Abel, President of Logan Health Medical Center, and Logan Health – Whitefish.  “This is a natural evolution in the relationship and will enhance the services we are able to provide to our community. We look forward to continuing to work with Scott and his staff while making a seamless transition.”

Scott Ruta opened Whitefish Therapy & Sport in Whitefish in 1998 and moved to the present location in 2008. He will continue working at the clinic in a management role.

The details of the agreement will be finalized at the end of May, and the partnership will be effective on June 1.
