At Logan Health, our Certified Athletic Trainers (ATCs) provide expert sports medicine services focused on injury prevention, performance optimization, and post-injury care. Our ATCs guide student-athletes through a coordinated recovery process, helping them return to play safely and confidently. As a community benefit, our athletic trainers also support local school athletic programs, promoting wellness, performance, and peace of mind for athletes, coaches, and families.

Sports Physicals

Keep Your Athlete in the Game

At Logan Health, we want Montana student-athletes to stay safe and active. All student-athletes are required to receive an annual sports physical to participate in school and many club sports. These exams help prevent injuries or illnesses from worsening during athletic activities and ensure students are ready to perform safely.

Scheduling Recommendations:

  • Schedule sports physicals after May 1 to remain valid for the entire upcoming school year
  • Available through your child’s primary care provider or at school-based health centers during normal appointment hours
  • Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, or bring a completed sports physical form signed by a parent/guardian

Meet Our Team

Certified Athletic Training Staff

April Terry, MS, LAT, ATCApril Terry, MS, LAT, ATC, is a Certified Athletic Trainer and Exercise Physiologist and has been with Logan Health and Logan Health Medical Fitness Center since 2007.  She has trained elite athletes with the WNBA and NBA, trained Winter Olympic athletes in 2000 and was Head Athletic Trainer for several collegiate teams at University of Utah and Eastern Oregon University.  April was Head ATC for Flathead H.S. and now works for KRH with Save the Brain Concussion Management, Occupational Health and Wellness as the SAFE Coordinator, and leads adult group training at the Summit.  Her passion is Sports Medicine and raising her family here in the Flathead Valley.  Contact April at aterry@logan.org.

 

Kerianne Fuller, MS, LAT, ATCKerianne Fuller, MS, LAT, ATC, came to Logan Health in 2017 as an Athletic Trainer at Logan Health Medical Fitness Center.  At the onset of her career here in Kalispell, Kerianne helped to develop athletic training services at Logan Health Medical Fitness Center so members had efficient access to sports medicine healthcare.  She currently serves Glacier High School as their Head Athletic Trainer, which has certainly turned into the dream job she had always wished for.   Kerianne received her Bachelor’s Degree from Montana State University in Health and Human Performance with an emphasis in Exercise Science and then went on to receive her Master’s in Athletic Training from Montana State University Billings.  Through her experiences during her educational and professional career life, Kerianne has developed a special interest in concussion management, emergency care in sports, and improving mental health and wellness through athletics.  Kerianne loves living in the Flathead Valley with her husband, Connor, a dedicated teacher and coach at Glacier High School, and their awesome rescue dog, Rudy.  Contact Kerianne fullerke@sd5.k12.mt.us.

 

Tracy Houser, LAT, ATCTracy Houser, LAT, ATC began her career with Logan Health in April 2021 and is very excited to provide excellent athletic training services to the Stillwater Christian Schools and the community. Before coming to Montana, Tracy was working with high school and college athletes for 20+ years and most recently working as a clinical athletic trainer in an orthopedic practice in the Kansas City area. She received her Associates of Science with an option in Athletic Training at Vincennes University in 1994, then finished her Bachelors of Arts in Athletic Training at Park University, Kansas City in 1996. Tracy has a special interest in the health and wellness of our youth in and beyond sports. Tracy and her husband Dan have a passion for wildlife and landscape photography as well as hiking. What better place to do all this than in Montana? She is excited to pick up some new hobbies here in the Flathead Valley, like learning how to kayak and snowshoeing.  Contact Tracy at thouser@scscougars.org.

 

Jackie LongJackie Long, MAT, LAT, TTC, joined Logan Health in June 2024 as the athletic trainer serving Flathead High School. Originally from Highwood, Montana, a small community outside of Great Falls, Jackie was born and raised on the east side of the Continental Divide. Coming from a close-knit hometown, her graduating class consisted of just six students. After earning her degree from the University of Montana, Jackie moved to the Flathead Valley to begin her professional career in athletic training. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of concussions and orthopedic injuries in adolescents, with a particular interest in knee injuries. Jackie is passionate about helping young athletes recover and return to the activities they love, and she finds the greatest reward in seeing students excel in their sport after overcoming an injury. Outside of work, Jackie enjoys spending time with family and friends and taking advantage of Montana’s great outdoors.

 

Turea VennerTurea Venner, MAT, LAT, TTC, joined Logan Health in June 2024 as the athletic trainer serving Bigfork High School. A Montana native, Turea was born in Butte and raised in Helena and is proud to continue living and working in the Treasure State. A graduate of the University of Montana and a devoted Griz fan, Turea can often be found cheering on the Grizzlies from the North End Zone during Saturday home games. Her passion for orthopedics and sports medicine, combined with a desire to make a positive impact on young athletes, makes the high school setting a perfect fit for her professional goals. Outside the training room, Turea enjoys traveling, attending live music events, and spending quality time with

 

Camryn Ingram, MAT, LAT, ATCCamryn Ingram, MAT, LAT, ATC, joined Logan Health in 2026 as the athletic trainer serving Columbia Falls High School. Originally from Ogden, Utah, with family ties to Bigfork, Camryn had long dreamed of living in the Flathead Valley and eagerly embraced the opportunity to make it her home. Camryn is passionate about professional growth and has a strong interest in pursuing additional certifications, fostering connections within the athletic training profession, and becoming an active member of the school community. She holds certifications in First Aid, CPR/AED, and Mental Health First Aid, equipping her to provide comprehensive care and support to student-athletes as they recover and return to competition. Her favorite part of athletic training is witnessing athletes’ dedication and perseverance pay off when they safely return to the sports they love. Outside of the training room, Camryn enjoys reading, crafting, and spending time with family and friends. friends.

 

Rachel Freeman, MAT, LAT, ATCRachel Freeman, MAT, LAT, ATC, joined Logan Health in May 2024 as the athletic trainer for the Glacier Range Riders. In her role, she provides emergency care, orthopedic injury evaluations, rehabilitation programs, and basic general medical examinations to help athletes perform at their best and recover safely from injury.

Originally from Kingsburg, California, Rachel grew up visiting Montana frequently to spend time with family. Her connection to the state eventually led her to move to Missoula to pursue her graduate degree before settling in the Flathead Valley.
While orthopedics is her primary specialty, Rachel has a strong interest in manual therapies, emergency care, and orthopedic surgery. She enjoys building meaningful relationships with athletes and finds it especially rewarding to support them throughout the entire recovery process—from initial injury through rehabilitation and a successful return to competition. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys horseback riding, ice skating, baking, and traveling. She appreciates opportunities to explore new places and stay active while spending time with family and friends.

 

Josie WindauerJosie Windauer, MAT, LAT, ATC, joined Logan Health in 2025 as the athletic trainer for Whitefish High School. A Flathead Valley native, Josie grew up in Columbia Falls and has a deep appreciation for the community and outdoor lifestyle that make the region unique. Josie is passionate about working with youth and serving as a positive influence during an important stage of their lives. She values the opportunity to support students as they navigate a period marked by growth, challenges, achievements, and learning. One of the most rewarding aspects of her role is witnessing their development firsthand and helping them succeed both on and off the field. In addition to her work as an athletic trainer, Josie has a strong interest in surgical intervention and sports medicine. She has had the opportunity to observe surgeries, an experience she considers one of the most impactful in her journey as both a student and clinician. These experiences have strengthened her appreciation for the role that comprehensive care plays in helping patients recover and return to the activities they love. Outside of work, Josie enjoys taking advantage of the many outdoor recreation opportunities Montana offers. Her favorite activities include mountain biking, rafting, hunting, fishing, and backpacking, as well as spending time with family and friends in the Flathead Valley.

 

Garrett Skillingstad, MAT, LAT, ATCGarrett Skillingstad, MAT, LAT, ATC joined Logan Health in July 2026 as an athletic trainer. In this role, he serves student-athletes throughout the Flathead Valley as a floating athletic trainer supporting schools across the region. Originally from Hill City, South Dakota, Garrett comes to the Flathead Valley from Victor, Montana, in the Bitterroot Valley, where he has lived since 2008. Before pursuing a career in athletic training, he worked as a wildland firefighter. His professional passions include strength and conditioning, managing musculoskeletal injuries and expanding the role of athletic training within the firefighting community. On the sidelines, Garrett values building meaningful relationships with athletes and providing a holistic approach to healthcare that supports both performance and overall well-being. Outside of work, Garrett enjoys hiking, kayaking and camping. He also has a deep appreciation for music and has learned to play five instruments. He enjoys spending time with his partner, Jacy, and has a special interest in Norwegian culture.
