Summer Monforte, MD

Summer Monforte, MD, FAAAAI, joined the Logan Health family in February 2021. Dr. Monforte treats a wide variety of allergy, asthma and immunology conditions, with particular interest in food allergies, eosinophilic esophagitis, asthma, and eczema. Dr. Monforte completed her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and behavior at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. Shortly after, she went on to the University of Arizona College of Medicine where she completed her MD. Dr. Monforte then went onto Children’s Hospital of Colorado Residency and completed her fellowship in pediatric allergy, asthma, and immunology at National Jewish Health in Denver, Colorado. Her approach to patient care is emphasizing the role of the patient and their family as true leaders of their medical team. She sees her role as an advisor; serving her patients and families by explaining the medical conditions and the pros and cons of different management options, especially in terms of the effect on quality of life. When not at work, Dr. Monforte loves to bake, read, and spend time in the mountains.
