Matthew Maxwell, MD

James Matthew (Matt) Maxwell, MD, joined Logan Health in November 2023 as a cardiothoracic surgeon. He is a graduate of UC-Irvine and completed his medical school at the Uniformed Services University. He went on to do his surgical residency at Naval Hospital San Diego and his cardiothoracic surgery residency at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Maxwell recently relocated from Anchorage, Alaska, where he served as a director of cardiothoracic surgery. Previously, he served as the director of cardiothoracic surgery at International Heart Institute in Missoula from 1997-2017. Outside of work, Dr. Maxwell enjoys biking, tennis and hiking.
