Kim Stimpson, MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Logan Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, where his passion for sports medicine meets a deep commitment to community care. With a special focus on treating athletic injuries, Dr. Stimpson generously volunteers his time to support local high school athletes, helping them stay strong, recover quickly, and get back in the game.
Dr. Stimpson graduated with a bachelor’s degree at UCSD, followed by earning his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. He honed his surgical skills during his internship and orthopedic residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, and advanced his expertise through a prestigious sports medicine fellowship at New England Baptist Hospital in Brookline, Massachusetts.
Dr. Stimpson’s career has taken him across the country—from California’s San Dieguito Orthopedic Medical Group to the North Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Clinic in Tupelo. Along the way, he also served as a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Naval Reserves Medical Corps and spent time as a missionary in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Stimpson is a devoted husband and father of five. He finds joy in tennis, golf, skiing, running, and fishing, living the active lifestyle he encourages in his patients.
