Dr. Karen Perser brings elite-level sports medicine expertise and a passion for comprehensive orthopedic care to Logan Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. A graduate of the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, she completed her orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Washington in Seattle—two institutions known for rigorous clinical training and innovation.
Dr. Perser further honed her skills through a prestigious sports medicine fellowship at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where she served as assistant team physician for the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres, NCAA Division III’s Buffalo State Bengals, and the USL-W League’s Buffalo Flash. Her hands-on experience with high-performance athletes gives her a unique perspective in treating sports-related injuries.
While she specializes in sports medicine and arthroscopic (minimally invasive) surgery of the hip, shoulder, and knee, Dr. Perser also provides expert care for a wide range of orthopedic conditions, from fractures and arthritis to joint and tendon disorders. She is especially skilled in treating ACL injuries, rotator cuff tears, meniscus damage and labral tears.
Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Perser is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys skiing, biking, hiking and camping. A passionate traveler, she’s explored many corners of the globe and continues to seek out new adventures whenever she can.
