Jose Ness, MD, is a medical oncologist and hematologist with extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and blood disorders. He brings a broad clinical background and a commitment to comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Dr. Ness earned his medical degree from Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. He completed his internship and internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City, where he served as chief resident during his final year. He went on to complete a fellowship in geriatric medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Dr. Ness later served as an assistant professor of clinical and general medicine at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics before completing a fellowship in medical oncology at the University of Iowa. He subsequently practiced with Hematology Oncology Associates in the Quad Cities region of southeast Iowa and northwest Illinois and later served as director of medical oncology for Kennewick General Hospital/Trios Health in Kennewick, Washington.
Dr. Ness is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Outside of medicine, he enjoys reading, hiking, rafting and skiing with his family. He also enjoys exploring Montana with his wife, son and three dogs.
