Cardiac electrophysiologist Jonathan (Matt) Brunson, MD, joined Logan Health Heart & Lung in September 2015. Dr. Brunson provides care for patients with heart-rhythm conditions, offering minimally invasive solutions to provide a potential cure for such diseases. Dr. Brunson received a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from the University of Texas at Dallas, graduating magna cum laude. He then went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Galveston. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, and then accepted an appointment to two fellowships. The first was in cardiovascular disease, carried out at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. In the second, he specialized in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Baylor University Medical Center. When away from the office, Dr. Brunson enjoys hiking, fishing, scuba diving, hunting, and traveling.
