Ivory Drendel, MD, joined Logan Health in October 2014 as a family practitioner with Primary Care – 160 Heritage Way. As a native of rural Wyoming who was trained and practiced in rural settings, she brings a valuable understanding and skill set to offer patients in western Montana. Dr. Drendel earned her honors degree with highest honors in cell biology and neuroscience from Montana State University in Bozeman. She enrolled in the WWAMI Regional Medical Education Program (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho) through the University of Washington School of Medicine, where she studied at Laramie, Wyoming, and Seattle, Washington. After medical school, she completed her residency in June 2011 at the Fort Collins Family Medicine Residency at Fort Collins, Colorado. From August 2011 until moving to Kalispell, she practiced as a family physician with Cheyenne Physician Group and Family First, PC, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She also served as adjunct clinical faculty for the University of Wyoming since 2012. She enjoys most outdoor activities, including skiing, camping, rafting, hiking, fly-fishing and running, but spends quiet time reading classic literature and contemporary novels. She and her husband love watching their young daughter grow and change.
