Pediatric neurologist, Dmitry Tchapyjnikov, MD, joined the Logan Health family in February 2021. Dr. Tchapyjnikov specializes in treating a variety of pediatric neurological conditions, with a particular focus on the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy and other seizure disorders. He also offers expertise in using EEG monitoring and the use of the ketogenic diet as epilepsy treatment. Dr. Tchapyjnikov earned his undergraduate degree in neuroscience and behavioral biology at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, then went on to Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA to complete his medical degree. He completed his pediatrics residency as well as pediatric neurology fellowship and clinical neurophysiology fellowship at Duke University. He’s thrilled to offer dietary therapies to his patients with epilepsy who have not had improvements in their seizures with medications. When not at work, Dr. Tchapyjnikov enjoys skiing, camping and hiking in the great outdoors.
