Caryn Van Buren, FNP-C, joined Logan Health Primary Care in Eureka in June 2026. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Phoenix graduating Summa Cum Laude in BSN and MSN programs. She earned Highest Honors with Distinction for each degree, received multiple Academic Excellence Awards, and was consistently recognized on the President’s and Dean’s Lists throughout undergraduate and graduate education. Caryn completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Hawaii.
Caryn has a strong passion for orthopedics, men’s health and family health. She has worked in a variety of rural and remote environments and possesses a comprehensive set of urgent, chronic and primary care skills. Her clinical expertise includes joint injections, suturing, splinting, and casting. She is dedicated to building meaningful relationships with her patients and values partnering with them throughout their recovery journey. Supporting individuals as they work toward improved health and well-being gives her a profound sense of purpose and gratitude.
Outside of work, Caryn enjoys an active and adventurous lifestyle. Her interests include motorcycle racing, skiing, scuba diving, wildlife observation, travel, hiking, flying small aircraft, fishing, and exploring new activities with her husband.
