Britta M. Barton, PA-C joined Logan Health as an advanced practice provider in surgical oncology, where she helps manage inpatients and support surgical oncology care. Originally from Menifee, California, Britta brings a diverse background in medicine, including 10 years of experience in emergency care, five years in pediatrics, and four years evaluating veterans. She earned her Master of Medical Science from St. Francis University and completed her physician assistant training at Stanford University. Britta’s contributions to the field have been recognized in several ways. She co-authored an article published in the New England Journal of Medicine, received a military coin for her dedication to March Air Reserve Base in Riverside, California, and was formally commended by Governor Gray Davis for her service during the response to the September 11, 2001, attacks. She enjoys the dynamic nature of her role, especially meeting different people, working within a collaborative surgical team and continuing to learn every day. Her professional interests center on maintaining a constant learning environment in surgical care. Outside of work, Britta can usually be found outdoors—hiking with her dogs, mountain biking, snowboarding or kayaking.
