April is Occupational Therapy Month!
What is occupational therapy? Any activity that “occupies” our time including everyday activities like getting dressed, eating meals and grooming ourselves. When a person needs help doing daily activities (occupations) occupational therapists are trained to solve issues for people of all ages so they can do things independently.
Take action against colorectal cancer
March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, a time to take action against one of the most common forms of cancer. Did you know the lifetime risk of developing colorectal cancer is about 1 in 24 for men and 1 in 26 for women? Your personal risk may be higher or lower depending on your risk factors.
Fatt Boys’ Calcutta benefiting Save a Sister returns for 13th year in support of breast cancer awareness
March Madness meets a meaningful mission at Fatt Boys Bar and Grille’s 13th Annual March Madness Calcutta, set for March 19. This high-energy event raises critical funds for Save a Sister, a collaborative initiative between Logan Health and the Flathead City-County Health Department, working to lessen the impact of breast cancer in our community. The initiative focuses on providing access to screening mammograms, educating the public and offering post-operative durable goods that are often not covered by insurance. Importantly, all funds raised stay within the local area, directly benefiting women in need.
