KRH Facilities Recognized for Roles in Organ and Tissue Donation

Three Kalispell Regional Healthcare (KRH) facilities were named recipients of LifeCenter Northwest’s 2019 Achievement Awards list, which was released this month in the organization’s annual report. Kalispell Regional Medical Center, North Valley Hospital, and the Brendan House were all recognized with individual achievement awards for their dedication to helping LifeCenter Northwest fulfill their mission of saving lives through organ and tissue donations.

Kalispell Regional Medical Center was awarded the Collaboration Achievement Award for exceeding a 90 percent collaborative request rate with LifeCenter Northwest. This award honors partners that excel in the area of planning a collaborative family conversation with LifeCenter Northwest.

Both North Valley Hospital and the Brendan House were awarded the Tissue Donation Referral Achievement Award in recognition of their abilities to provide timely referrals for donations. Those who received this award exceeded a referral rate of 95 percent for tissue donation.

“We are pleased to have three different KRH entities represented in this year’s list of achievement award winners,” says Doug Nelson, MD, chief medical officer of KRH. “We as an organization strive to improve lives in any way we can, and supporting organ and tissue donation is a part of this. I commend our teams at all three facilities for their excellent work.”
