Logan Health – Shelby’s (LHS) annual community-wide health fair is back for another year with more booths, health screenings, prizes, a blood drive.
The 2023 Health Fair is a partnership event with the Toole County Health Department and will be held at the Shelby Civic Center on Wednesday, October 11 from 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Local businesses and organizations will be in attendance providing health and wellness resources, as well as interactive activities according to the services they provide. LHS departments will each have booths with hands-on demonstrations.
A blood drive will be provided by Vitalant from 11:00 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. Vitalant is a blood donor organization that supplies Logan Health facilities with blood, which ensures locally donated blood stays in the communities that are supported by Logan Health, including Toole County and surrounding areas. Community members can conveniently register now for the blood drive at https://shorturl.at/ijJ15 or walk-ins are welcome at the time of the blood drive.
The Toole County Health Department will be providing the Car Van and will have flu shots available. The University of Montana IPHARM students will be performing various health screenings, including bone density scans, blood pressure checks, and HbA1c blood glucose testing. Lab drawings provided by LHS will be available beginning at 7:00 a.m.
The other businesses in attendance will include Toole County MSU Extension, Toole County Sheriff’s Department, Logan Health EMS, and more. There will also be an opportunity to learn more about Logan Health’s free CNA class and other health care professions provided by local colleges.
Free soup and deli sandwiches by TLC catering will be provided at lunch for Health Fair participants. Entry is free for this event and there will be opportunities to win prizes!
