Logan Health – Shelby welcomes their first general surgeon on staff, Stephen Milheim, MD. Dr. Milheim officially joined the Logan Health – Shelby medical staff in January and is now seeing patients. He will soon be seeing patients in Cut Bank, as well. 
“We are excited to have Dr. Milheim as a permanent member of the medical staff. Patients in our community will immensely benefit from better patient access to general surgery consults and procedures,” said Tressa Keller, Interim Administrator at Logan Health – Shelby.
Common surgeries now available include hernia repairs and laparoscopic cholecystectomy, a minimally invasive procedure to remove the gallbladder. With many of these procedures, patients can return home the same day.
Dr. Milheim has been practicing in Kalispell as general surgeon and trauma surgeon since 1992. He brings over 30 years of general surgery experience to his practice in Shelby. Dr. Milheim says, “I look forward to providing care locally to the patients of Shelby and the surrounding communities.”
