Logan Health – Shelby is celebrating National Cardiac Rehabilitation Week, February 8–14, 2026, alongside the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) to recognize the lifesaving impact of cardiac rehab programs.
This year’s theme, “The MVP of Heart Month,” honors patients, families and health care professionals who work together to support long-term heart health. Logan Health – Shelby is marking the occasion by highlighting improvements to its own cardiac rehabilitation program, including a newly relocated rehab space.
The upgraded area provides more room for safe exercise, improved access to other hospital services and large courtyard-facing windows that create a bright, calming environment. The space also features advanced exercise equipment to help patients rebuild strength, stamina and confidence as they recover from conditions such as heart attack, angina, heart failure, cardiac surgery, heart transplant and stent placement.
“Working with our cardiac rehab patients is one of the greatest privileges of this job,” said Bridget Blevins, Respiratory Care Services Supervisor. “Our new rehab space supports their journey by giving patients a safe, welcoming environment to heal.”
National Cardiac Rehabilitation Week coincides with Valentine’s Day and American Heart Month, drawing attention to heart health and the importance of prevention and recovery resources.
