Logan Health Children’s and Spirit Halloween will host the annual Spirit of Children visit on Wednesday, October 15, at noon at Logan Health Children’s, 350 Sunnyview Lane. During the visit, the Child Life team will deliver costume kits from Spirit Halloween along with festive treats to pediatric patients and their families, bringing a little extra joy to their hospital stay.
Spirit of Children supports Child Life departments in hospitals across the country and, over the past six years, has raised more than $153,000 for Logan Health Children’s. These funds allow the Child Life team to provide comfort, distraction, and therapeutic play to help children and families navigate the hospital experience.
“Donations like these transform the hospital experience for our youngest patients,” said Carly St. Onge, Chief Development Officer of Logan Health Children’s. “Because of the generosity of Spirit Halloween and our community, our Child Life department can bring more moments of normalcy, joy, and comfort to children in the hospital — making Logan Health Children’s a more welcoming, child-focused place for every patient and family who walks through our doors.”
By shopping at a local Spirit Halloween store or donating online, community members can continue to support Child Life specialists, pediatric patients, and their families during the Halloween season.
