Logan Health in Chester, Conrad, Cut Bank and Shelby held their annual Hi-Line Brawl of the Wild Food Drive Competition. Throughout the four weeks leading up to the Brawl of the Wild football game between the Montana State University Bobcats and University of Montana Grizzlies on November 23, staff at each Logan Health critical access hospital contributed to their favorite Montana team to battle it out to be named the 2024 Hi-Line Food Drive Champion.

After counting the total donations between each facility, the day before the Brawl, Logan Health – Conrad was declared the overall winner with a total of 1,590 donated items and Bobcat fans “Canned the Griz” by finishing with more donations than Grizzly fans contributed. Together, the Hi-Line Logan Health facilities donated over a total of 2,500 non-perishable items to the local food pantries in each community.

In addition to the generous contributions from the food drive, a combined total of 86 frozen turkeys from each facility were donated. The turkeys and food drive items were distributed amongst the Harvest Food Pantry in Cut Bank, Sagebrush Food Pantry in Shelby, Pondera Food Pantry in Conrad, Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry in Chester, plus to additional families in need with the help of Pondera County Health Department, Hi-Line Help for Abused Spouses and Pastor Chad Scarborough in Shelby.
