Chest Discomfort
Most heart attacks involve discomfort in the center of the chest that lasts for more than a few minutes. It may go away and come back. It can feel like uncomfortable pressure, squeezing, fullness or pain.

Discomfort in Other Areas of the Body
Symptoms can include pain or discomfort in one or both arms or in the back, neck, jaw or stomach.

When to Seek Immediate Medical Attention

Call 911 right away if you have:
  • Tightness or sudden pressure in the chest
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Fatigue
  • Tingling or pain in the jaw, left shoulder blade, back, arm or throat
  • Cold sweat
  • Dizziness
  • Shortness of breath
