Leah Carlburg, MD, has been with Kalispell Regional Healthcare since joining the medical staff at Big Sky Family Medicine and Kalispell Regional Medical Center in 2007. Her professional training and experience support her current role as a geriatrics and palliative care physician for Kalispell Regional Healthcare. Dr. Carlburg earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and completed her residency through the Montana Family Medicine Residency program based in Billings. In her final year there, she was named the Outstanding Resident of the Year for 2007. She began her professional practice as a family physician with Big Sky Family Medicine in Kalispell, and in October 2007 added to her duties by becoming a team physician with Home Options Hospice. In 2010 she was board certified in hospice and palliative medicine, and became the Home Options Hospice medical director. She was the founding physician and today heads the team with Kalispell Regional’s Geriatrics and Supportive Care services. Dr. Carlburg spends much of her free time outside hiking, skiing and gardening. She and her husband Tim have two daughters, Kaya and Josephine.
