Psychiatrist Joseph Boyle, MD, joined Logan Health as a physician at The Newman Center and Logan Health Behavioral Health in August 2013. Dr. Boyle earned his medical degree from Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico, and completed residency training in psychiatry at the Brody School of Medicine, East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. Dr. Boyle then finished his training with a fellowship in forensic psychiatry from Duke University. His expertise includes the evaluation and treatment of adult psychiatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings and conducting and writing forensic evaluations for the courts. Dr. Boyle has been recognized for outstanding achievement in outpatient psychiatry. He is fluent in Spanish as a second language. Dr. Boyle spends his free time with his family and participating in a wide variety of outdoor activities. Dr. Boyle’s interest in philosophy includes areas such as epistemology and ethics as well as areas of confluence between philosophy and psychiatry.
