Logan Health’s third annual stationary bike relay event, CycleMT, returns on Saturday, March 8, 2025, bringing communities together to raise funds for Montana children and young adults facing medical hardships.

CycleMT will once again be hosted at two locations: Flathead Valley Community College’s Wachholz College Center in Kalispell and the Joe Meagher Memorial Civic Center in Cut Bank starting at 9 a.m. Teams of up to ten riders will take turns pedaling for 20-minute intervals on stationary bikes, with their distances tracked in real time. Each team is encouraged to raise a minimum of $1,500 through peer-to-peer fundraising, with all proceeds benefiting Montana youth in need of medical-related support.

“This event is a testimony to what we can accomplish when communities come together for a common purpose,” said Kevin Abel, CEO of Logan Health. “Every dollar raised translates into life-changing support for children and families across Montana. We’re incredibly proud to host this event and witness the difference it makes year after year.”

Since its launch in 2023, CycleMT has raised more than $200,000, providing critical resources such as adaptive equipment, therapy services and home modifications for 21 children across the state. In 2024, Logan Health distributed funds to families in need, supporting items like modified tricycles, sensory tools, wheelchairs and alternative therapies, including music and equine therapy.

One such impact was felt by 10-year-old Jaxen, who lives with infantile Pompe disease, a condition that affects his speech and mobility. Thanks to CycleMT supporters, Jaxen now has an ADA-compliant bathroom designed to grow with him, fostering his independence for years to come.

“Upgrading our bathroom has been life-changing for Jaxen,” shared Erin Hoch, Jaxen’s mother. “This project gives him the freedom to do things on his own, and as a parent, there’s no greater gift than seeing your child thrive. We’re so grateful for this program and the incredible support that made this possible.”

CycleMT continues to bridge the gap for families, turning barriers into opportunities for growth and independence. All proceeds go toward a fund supporting Montana children and young adults under age 21 with medical hardships that are not covered by other means of funding, Logan Health patients and non-patients alike.
