Lance L. Ercanbrack, MD, joined the Logan Health medical staff in July 2026 and practices at Logan Health – Cut Bank and Logan Health – Shelby, specializing in general surgery. Originally from Dubois, Idaho, Dr. Ercanbrack earned his medical degree from Chicago Medical School and completed his residency at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Ercanbrack has practiced general surgery since 1996, beginning at St. Benedict’s Hospital in Jerome, Idaho, and then spent nearly three decades serving patients in Libby, Montana. His extensive experience across a broad range of procedures allows him to provide comprehensive, patient-centered surgical care. Dr. Ercanbrack was drawn to medicine by the opportunity to help people through surgery, correcting injury or illness while showing kindness and compassion and building lasting patient relationships. He is committed to protecting his patients’ health while maintaining high integrity and delivering compassionate care. Outside of work, Dr. Ercanbrack enjoys horseback trail riding, including backcountry pack trips, as well as hunting, fishing, golfing and camping with his family. He has also developed an interest in carpentry. He has been married to his wife, Lora, for over 40 years, and together they have two sons and one granddaughter.
