Jeffrey Eshleman, MD, is a radiation oncologist with extensive experience in the treatment of cancer. His clinical interests include brachytherapy, stereotactic radiosurgery and stereotactic body radiation therapy for cancers affecting the central nervous system, lung, breast, gastrointestinal tract and prostate.
Dr. Eshleman earned his medical degree from Hahnemann University, now Drexel University, in Philadelphia. He completed his four-year residency in radiation oncology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he served as chief resident during his final year. He began his career with Cancer Consultants of Southwest Ohio in Dayton, Ohio, before returning to his hometown of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. There, he joined Lancaster Radiology Associates and cared for patients at Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute at Lancaster General Hospital. During his time in Lancaster, he served in several leadership roles, including chief of the Division of Radiation Oncology, medical director of oncology research, chairman of the institutional review board and member of the oncology leadership team.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Eshleman enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters. He also enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking and skiing.
