Commonly Requested Services
How long does it take to get an appointment or surgery scheduled in Kalispell?
Most specialties schedule three to four weeks out. If it is an emergency, we can make accommodations to see you more quickly.
What is included in the bundled price?
The bundled price includes an initial consult, a preoperative consult, surgery and anesthesia fees, recovery costs, and three follow-up visits within three months of surgery.
Does travel insurance cover any of the cost?
Unfortunately travel insurance does not cover the cost of an elective procedure.
What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept cash, credit card or bank draft made out to Logan Health in U.S. funds.
How long will I need to be in Kalispell for a surgery?
Typically consults are scheduled a day or two before surgery. Two to seven days after surgery, you will receive clearance to return home. Most people stay in town five to seven days.
Can I do everything in one trip?
Typically, yes. Some cases may require more time and more than one trip to Kalispell. We will be able to better inform you once your particular case has been reviewed.
Can I do a consult only?
Yes.
How do I get started?
To begin the process, we will need to have your recent X-rays and/or MRI results on a disk, as well as any associated reports. You will need to complete a questionnaire and return it to us. The surgeon will use this questionnaire, which describes your symptoms, along with your imaging to determine the best treatment plan for your case.
The more records you have about your medical concerns, the better the review will be. This review is done at no charge to you; however, if you want a formal written review to share with your primary physician and a phone consult with the specialist, there may be a charge.
How do I get to Kalispell?
While there are few direct flights into Kalispell, most of the major carriers fly to Glacier Park International Airport. If you are in need of medical transport, we have a medical transport plane (A.L.E.R.T. II) and critical care crew available 24/7, and we will be happy to assist you with these arrangements.

Mary Strauss, RN
Mary Strauss, a certified medical tourism professional, began working for Kalispell Regional Medical Center in 2001 in the intermediate care unit and intensive care unit. She quickly found a love for critical care, transitioning to full time in the ICU and later becoming a charge nurse.
After several years she transferred to the emergency department, where she moved up once again to a charge nurse position. In 2010 Mary worked with Kalispell Regional Healthcare administration to form the medical tourism department.
Starting with a few Canadian patients each month, the program has grown significantly and now has clients from all over the U.S. and Canada. Born in Maine to an Air Force family, Mary traveled all over the world and went to high school in Okinawa, Japan.
After graduating from nursing school in Wyoming, she lived in southern California before moving to Kalispell, where she plans to stay. In her free time, Mary enjoys spending time with her family, hiking in Glacier National Park and baking.
