Accepting new patientsSamantha Short, PA-C, is a physician assistant specializing in cardiothoracic surgery. She brings extensive experience in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, having previously practiced in Portland, Oregon; Loma Linda, California; and Spokane, Washington.
Samantha earned her bachelor’s degree in biology with a human emphasis from the University of Montana and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the Arizona School of Health Sciences in Mesa. She maintained a perfect grade point average during her graduate studies, and her master’s thesis on assessing atherosclerotic risk through VAP cholesterol testing was awarded Master’s Thesis of the Year.
Samantha is board certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates and the Association of Physician Assistants in Cardiovascular Surgery.
