Samantha Short, PA-C

Samantha Short, PA-C, specializes in cardiothoracic surgery as a physician assistant with Logan Health Heart & Lung. She joined Logan Health in August 2012, following five years as a cardiothoracic surgical physician assistant with The Oregon Clinic in Portland. She also has worked as a physician assistant in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery in Loma Linda, California, and Spokane, Washington. Her training came from the University of Montana where she earned a bachelor degree in biology with a human emphasis, and from the Arizona School of Health Sciences in Mesa where she maintained a perfect grade point while earning a Master of Science in physician assistant studies. Her master’s thesis on assessing atherosclerotic risk through VAP cholesterol testing was awarded the Master’s Thesis of the Year. She is board certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and is a member of both the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Association of Physician Assistants in Cardiovascular Surgery.
