Rachel Desimone is a nurse practitioner with the Pediatric Surgery team at Logan Health, where she’s been delivering high-quality, compassionate care to Montana’s children since 2016. Her role is diverse and hands-on — from outpatient visits and inpatient management to outreach across the state and assisting in the operating room as a surgical first assist. She’s passionate about making specialized pediatric surgical care accessible to families across Montana, no matter where they live. Before joining Logan Health, Rachel was an APRN in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Hospital of Colorado. She holds an undergraduate degree from Villanova University and completed postgraduate studies at both the University of Colorado and Rush University. Her clinical interests include pediatric trauma, pediatric burn care, bowel management, and chest wall deformities.
Originally from Connecticut, Rachel was drawn to Montana for its strong sense of community and unmatched access to the outdoors. When she’s not in scrubs, you’ll likely find her chasing adventure with her husband, two young children, and their ever-energetic dog. She’s an endurance enthusiast who lives for biking, ski mountaineering, running, and exploring Montana’s wild landscapes.
