Rachel Desimone, APRN, is a pediatric nurse practitioner at Logan Health. She is also part of Logan Health Children’s and its team of more than 40 pediatric specialists. She provides inpatient and outpatient surgical care to neonates, children and adolescents. Rachel earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Villanova University in Pennsylvania, and worked as a pediatric intensive care nurse at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She later obtained a Master of Science as a primary care pediatric nurse practitioner from the University of Colorado, an acute care pediatric nurse practitioner certification from Rush University in Chicago and a certification for surgical first assist from the National Institute of First Assisting. Following her training, she joined the faculty at Children’s Hospital of Colorado as an advanced practice nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit before joining Kalispell Regional Healthcare in August 2016. Originally from Connecticut, Rachel has a passion for the outdoors, mountain biking and alpine/backcountry skiing. She is joined by her husband and her mountain dog, a 6-pound Yorkshire terrier named Bruce.
