Gastroenterologist Philip Jaffe, MD, serves as the director of clinical and endoscopy services at Logan Health Digestive Center. A native of New York, Dr. Jaffe earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center in Tucson, and served as chief medical resident. He followed with a two-year fellowship in gastroenterology at that university, then a mini-sabbatical in endoscopic ultrasound at the University of Indiana School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He began professional practice as the medical director of the GI Endoscopy Unit at the Tucson VA Medical Center, then assumed a similar responsibility at the University Medical Center in Tucson. He served in several clinical and academic positions during subsequent years with the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center, the Cleveland Clinic in Naples, Florida, and the University of Connecticut Health Center. Most recently he was medical director of the Digestive Disease Center at Yale New Haven Medical Centers Saint Raphael campus in New Haven, Connecticut, and assistant clinical professor at the Yale School of Medicine during that time. In his free time, Dr. Jaffe enjoys traveling, skiing, listening to music and spending time with his family.
