Laurel Skeek, MD, joined Logan Health in December 2021 as a hospitalist. Previously, she worked in Sitka, Alaska, a town of 8,500 in the Tongass Rain Forest, for four and a half years. While there, she practiced a broad spectrum of family medicine including ER, hospitalist, SNF and OB coverage as well as fielding calls from smaller villages. Dr. Skeek attended medical school in Be’er Sheva, Israel, at the Medical School for International Health, in collaboration between Columbia University and Ben Gurion University. She then completed her Family Practice Residency in her hometown of Sayre, Pennsylvania. Outside of work, Dr. Skeek enjoys hiking with her pup, Nordic skiing and gardening. She can also be found exploring new hot springs with her husband and son and enjoying friends and the local community.
