Hilary Hanba, MD, joined Logan Health in November 2019. Dr. Hanba received her residency training at a stand-alone, tertiary care children’s hospital, which provided extensive experience in everything from very sick children to regular well-child visits. She credits this, along with her further work in both a small, rural hospital and a suburban outpatient clinic, with making her a well-rounded pediatrician. She earned her Bachelor of Science in brain, behavior, and cognitive science at the University of Michigan and her Doctor of Medicine at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. She served her pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. She has received her certification from the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Hanba strives to practice evidence-based medicine and provide care using the most up-to-date information available. She feels it is important to explain disease process and treatment strategies in lay terms so patients and families can be put at ease and can feel empowered in the management of their own or their loved one’s health. Her professional interests include sports medicine, nutrition and obesity, development pediatrics, and childhood immunizations. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and Glacier Park, baking, cooking, and traveling the world with her husband, Dr. Daniel Hanba.
