Accepting new patientsEmily Hanson, MD, joined Logan Health Heart & Vascular in July 2023 as a general cardiologist, providing comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of heart conditions.
Originally from Medford, Oregon, Dr. Hanson is a graduate of Lafayette College and earned a master’s degree in clinical research and her medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University. She went on to complete her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the University of New Mexico. Following her training, she practiced at Billings Clinic before relocating to western Montana.
Dr. Hanson is committed to helping patients navigate health concerns that can often feel complex, confusing or overwhelming, and values the opportunity to offer clarity, reassurance and a thoughtful plan of care. She has a particular interest in preventive cardiology and believes strongly in helping patients take proactive steps to protect their long-term heart health. She values building strong relationships with patients and guiding patients through each stage of diagnosis, treatment and prevention.
Outside of work, Dr. Hanson enjoys spending time outdoors horseback riding, rafting, mountain biking, backpacking and skiing.
