Emily Hanson, MD, is a general cardiologist who provides comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of heart conditions. She is committed to helping patients navigate health concerns that can often feel complex, confusing or overwhelming, offering clarity, reassurance and a thoughtful plan of care.
Originally from Medford, Oregon, Dr. Hanson is a graduate of Lafayette College and earned a master’s degree in clinical research and her medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University. She went on to complete her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the University of New Mexico. Following her training, she practiced at Billings Clinic before relocating to western Montana.
Dr. Hanson has a particular interest in preventive cardiology and believes strongly in helping patients take proactive steps to protect their long-term heart health. She values building strong relationships with patients and guiding them through each stage of diagnosis, treatment and prevention.
Outside of work, Dr. Hanson enjoys spending time outdoors horseback riding, rafting, mountain biking, backpacking and skiing.
