Elizabeth Wendl, MD, joined Logan Health as an interventional cardiologist in August 2025. Originally from Waukee, Iowa, Dr. Wendl completed her undergraduate, medical school, and residency training in her home state. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Health from Iowa State University and received her medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. Dr. Wendl completed her internal medicine residency in Des Moines, where she served as chief resident. She then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where she completed both her general and interventional cardiology fellowships at the University of Utah. Her professional interests include coronary interventions, cardio-obstetrics, and women’s health. She values building long-term relationships with her patients. Outside of work, Dr. Wendl enjoys spending time with her husband and their black lab. Together they enjoy camping, hiking, paddleboarding, and exploring the outdoors. When at home, she likes to bake, read and stay active.
