David S. Braun, MD joined Logan Health as a gastroenterology physician in August 2025. Originally from New York City, Dr. Braun’s medical journey has taken him around the world—from Brisbane to New Orleans to Dallas. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from New York University before completing his medical degree through the University of Queensland–Ochsner program. He went on to complete both his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. During his training, Dr. Braun was honored as Chief Fellow (2024–2025) and Chief Resident (2021–2022). He also received the Resident of the Year award and was recognized as an Outstanding Poster Presenter at the American College of Gastroenterology conferences in 2021 and 2024. Dr. Braun specializes in gastroenterology and hepatology, with clinical interests in inflammatory bowel disease and liver disease. He is particularly drawn to the diversity of GI conditions and the physiology behind them, but most of all, he values building personal connections with his patients. Outside of work, Dr. Braun enjoys traveling and learning new languages, playing music, skiing, hiking, and spending time outdoors with his wife.
