Crystal Bahnson, CPNP-PC, joined Logan Health in October 2025. She is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in pediatric gastroenterology with more than 15 years of focused pediatric experience, including neonatal intensive care, inpatient pediatrics, pediatric surgery and trauma, and primary care.
Crystal earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Rush University in Chicago, Illinois, graduating summa cum laude. During her schooling, she received honors from the Rush University Women’s Board and the Advanced Education Nurse Traineeship. Her dissertation, “Promoting the Electronic Health Record Active Patient Portal Accounts through Employee and Patient Education,” focused on a pediatric outpatient setting. It aimed to make health care easier for patients and their families.
Crystal knows that the gastrointestinal system is complex and respects its significant impact on overall health. She values the connections she makes with her patients and often feels inspired by her patient interactions. Crystal moved to Montana to provide evidence-based care to rural kids and their families and hopes to one day assist in expanding access to pediatric GI specialty care throughout the state.
Outside of work, Crystal and her family enjoy their land and caring for different animals. She loves Montana’s outdoors and enjoys fishing, boating, hiking and skiing through the seasons.
