Christine Toevs, MD

Christine C. Toevs, MD, joined Logan Health in February 2026 as a trauma surgeon in the Department of Surgery. Dr. Toevs brings more than 20 years of clinical experience to her role, with a background spanning trauma surgery, surgical critical care, general surgery, and hospice and palliative medicine. Her career has included a strong emphasis on caring for critically ill and injured patients across a range of complex surgical settings. She earned her medical degree from East Carolina University School of Medicine and completed a general surgery internship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Toevs went on to complete a research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health, a general surgery residency at the University of Minnesota, and a surgical critical care fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Outside of work, Dr. Toevs enjoys traveling.
