Dr. Benjamin Ward brings world-class training and a passion for active living to Logan Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, where he has been a valued team member since 2013. With a focus on sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery, Dr. Ward is dedicated to helping patients recover from injury and return to the activities they love.
A graduate of Duke University School of Medicine, Dr. Ward completed his general surgery internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, followed by an orthopedic surgery residency through the prestigious Harvard Combined Orthopedic Residency Program, where he served as administrative chief resident. He then completed a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the Taos Orthopedic Institute in New Mexico.
Dr. Ward’s advanced training equips him to treat a wide range of orthopedic conditions, from ACL and meniscus tears to rotator cuff and labral injuries. He also has extensive experience in managing musculoskeletal trauma, shoulder arthritis, and other general orthopedic concerns.
A Dartmouth College alumnus, Dr. Ward’s love for the outdoors runs deep—he served as a ski patroller during his undergraduate years and volunteered on the downhill ski race course at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. He also served as a team physician for the US Ski Team. Today, he continues to embrace Montana’s outdoor lifestyle through alpine and telemark skiing, biking, photography, rafting and backpacking with his family.
