Logan Health Clinic – Shelby (LHCS), a new primary care clinic for residents in Toole County and surrounding areas, will open on January 15, 2024. The clinic is located inside Logan Health – Shelby (LHS) at 640 Park Avenue.

Logan Health Clinic – Shelby is excited to welcome three new nurse practitioners who will begin seeing patients in January 2024.
Geriatric nurse practitioner Molly Asper, DNP, AG-NP, has served as a primary care provider at Logan Health Rural Health Clinic – Cut Bank since 2021 and will continue to practice within the Logan Health system when transitioning to LHCS as a full-time provider on January 15, 2024. Molly’s specialty in geriatrics gives her a passion for the senior population. She finds the best part about her work, in addition to her great patients, is helping people improve their health and overall quality of life.
Shane Jensen, FNP, has almost 30 years of nursing experience and has been practicing as a nurse practitioner since 2009. He has practiced in Arizona and most recently, Havre, Montana. He specializes in pain management and helps patients by determining the correct treatment plan. Shane will begin seeing patients at LHCS on February 26, 2024.
Ariel Weishaar, FNP, will begin seeing patients at LHCS on January 15, 2024. Ariel will be returning to her hometown of Shelby practicing family medicine and specializing in women’s health and pediatrics. She is board-certified to see patients from birth through adulthood for well visits, annual exams, and sick visits for acute and chronic illnesses.
Logan Health is also pleased to welcome general surgeon Edward L. Jones, MD, MS, to the medical staff. Dr. Eddie Jones will officially start seeing patients at LHS in January 2024 and at Logan Health – Cut Bank in February 2024. Dr. Jones specializes in general, minimally invasive, robotic surgery. He performs advanced endoscopic procedures involving basic upper and lower endoscopy, as well as endoscopic myotomy, ERCP.
Originally from Conrad, Montana, Dr. Jones is an accomplished surgeon. He serves as an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Department of GI, Tumor, and Endocrine Surgery at the University of Colorado, is a Lieutenant Colon in the US Army Reserve, and was promoted to Deputy Chief of Surgical Services at the Veterans Affairs Eastern Colorado Health Care System in September 2023.
Patients can now call to schedule an appointment with any Logan Health Clinic – Shelby primary care provider at (406) 966-7040. Clinic hours will be Monday through Friday, 7 am – 5:30 pm. To schedule a consult with Dr. Jones, any patient can seek referral through their primary care provider.
Clinic and hospital patients will continue to visit the patient registration window at the LHS emergency room entrance upon arrival to check in while a new clinic expansion is in progress.
In addition to new primary care services, robust on-site laboratory, imaging, and rehabilitation services, and multiple visiting specialists, including OB/GYN, sleep medicine, general surgery, and cardiology, LHS is proud to welcome three new full time highly skilled certified emergency medicine providers for the emergency department. Collectively, Greg Bayse, APP, Vicki Lear, PA-C, and Laura Wittman, ENP-C, FNP-C, have forty-five years of experience in emergency medicine.
