Logan Health – Shelby is proud to host their annual Community Health Fair on Thursday, October 9 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Shelby High School Gym. Toole County Health Department will be offering flu shots inside the gym and Logan Health will be offering discounted annual wellness labs (formerly birthday labs). The annual wellness labs can only be completed once per calendar year per individual and are only for individuals 18 years and older.
The community health fair is free and open to all ages! Local health and safety organizations, along with several Logan Health departments, will be providing resources and health screenings to help keep you and your family healthy this year. Free health screenings include body composition analysis, blood pressure and blood sugar tests, oxygen checks, spirometry test, and grip and strength tests.
If you missed the “Strollin’ Through the Colon” exhibit last year, this is your chance to experience the highly interactive, educational display of a large-scale model of the human colon. Through examples of various colon issues, guests will see first-hand the problems that can develop within the human colon from hemorrhoids to colon cancer.
